Redeem a promo code on a subscription or credit purchase.
Have a launch offer, partner code, or support credit? A promo code can add free transcription time to your balance or apply a discount to your subscription, and you can redeem it yourself in a few seconds with no support ticket required.
What a promo code can do
Promo codes come in a few types, and the kind you have determines where and how it applies. A free-credit code adds transcription time straight to your balance, for example an hour of credits. A percentage discount takes a percentage off your subscription, applied at checkout. A fixed-amount discount takes a set money amount off your purchase at checkout.
Credit codes top up your balance instantly. Percentage and fixed-amount discounts are handled during checkout rather than added to your balance.
How to redeem a code
You can apply a promo code in two places, depending on what the code does.
Use the Redeem Code dialog in your Billing dashboard for codes that grant free transcription time.
Larger credit packs do not accept promotion codes at checkout. If your code is meant for credits, apply it to the entry-level 4.99 EUR pack, to a subscription, or through the in-app Redeem Code dialog instead.
Good to know
- One redemption per account. Each code can be used once per account.
- Codes may be plan-specific. Some codes are restricted to particular plans or have an overall redemption limit and a validity window set by whoever issued them.
- Discounts are applied at checkout. Percentage and fixed-amount discounts adjust the price you pay during checkout. They are not added to your transcription balance.
- Free-credit codes add to your balance immediately and behave like prepaid credits, so they do not expire at the end of the month.
Troubleshooting
The code may be expired or inactive, fully redeemed across all users, restricted to a different plan, or already used once on your account. Double-check the code for typos and confirm it is still valid. Each code works only once per account.
Promotion codes at credit checkout are enabled only on the entry-level 4.99 EUR pack; larger packs disable them. Apply your code to the 4.99 EUR pack, to a subscription at checkout, or through the Redeem Code dialog in your Billing dashboard.
That is expected for percentage and fixed-amount discounts. They reduce the price you pay at checkout rather than adding credits to your balance. Only free-credit codes top up your transcription balance.
