Cookie Policy

How Kalima uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website or use our services.

Version 1.0 · Effective February 18, 2026

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember your preferences and understand how you interact with it.

2. Cookies We Use

Kalima uses the following categories of cookies, the same categories you can control in our cookie consent banner:

Essential Cookies

Required for authentication, session management, and security. These cookies cannot be disabled.

  • Session authentication (next-auth)
  • Locale preference (NEXT_LOCALE)
  • CSRF protection tokens
  • Cookie consent preference

Analytics Cookies

Help us understand how the application performs by collecting usage analytics, error reports, and performance metrics. They are only set with your consent and stop when you withdraw it, and no personal data is shared with advertisers. We use:

  • PostHog for product analytics and session replay, hosted in the EU. Session replay is heavily masked and is turned off entirely on the Studio, transcript, and sharing pages.
  • Sentry for error and performance monitoring, hosted in the EU (Germany). Sentry does not use session replay.

Marketing Cookies

These cookies may be used in the future for personalized content and advertising. Currently no marketing cookies are set, and they remain off unless you opt in.

3. Third-Party Cookies

When you use our payment features, our payment processor (Stripe) may set cookies necessary for processing payments securely. We do not use any advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

4. Managing Cookies

You can change your analytics and marketing choices at any time through our cookie consent banner. You can also control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling essential cookies may prevent certain features from working correctly.

Most browsers allow you to:

  • View and delete existing cookies
  • Block third-party cookies
  • Block cookies from specific sites
  • Block all cookies

5. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
